Exhibition: KDW x EU: A Design Story

This exhibition charts the evolution of Ireland’s design capability, from the establishment of the Kilkenny Design Workshops (KDW) in 1965, to today’s dynamic design landscape, where Irish agencies are driving innovation and delivering solutions for companies across the European Union (EU). Ireland’s design sector is thriving and much of this work is carried out "off the island", actively influencing industries and strengthening economies throughout the EU.

KDW x EU: A Design Story is organised by Design and Craft Council Ireland to mark its 60th anniversary and is part of Irish Design Week 2025.
